Endre Komarami-Kacz

Kacz was born on the 9th June 1880 in Komarom, Hungary. It is believed that he died in 1969.

He was a painter of genre scenes.

Endre Komaromi-Kacz was a pupil of Eduard Ballo , a specialist in portraits and genre, at the academy of fine arts in Budapest, and then under Simon Hollosy, a genre painter who established a private school in Munich.

He won a scholar-ship for a study trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. In Budapest he opened his own atelier in 1908. He was a regular exhibitor at the Art Gallery and took part in the representative Hungarian exhibitons held abroad. He painted portraits, genre-paintings, interiors, figural compositions, landscapes of deep colour tonality. He had a collective exhibition at the National Saloon in 1918. In 1924 he held a collective exhibition at the Art Gallery. He won several awards and some of his paintings are in the property of the National Gallery and the Museum in Rév-Komárom.
