John Morris Henderson RSA

1864 – 1936

He was born in Glasgow, the son of Joseph Henderson. He studied at the Glasgow Institute of Art and was influenced by his father’s style and subject matter. He painted mostly seascapes and coastal scenes in oil, but also used watercolour. He became an associate of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1928 and a full member in 1936.

Died in Glasgow.
