Eugene Claude

1841 – 1922

Born on 10 June and died in Paris he was a painter of genre, still life, flowers and fruits.

He exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1861 where in 1885 he was awarded an honourable mention and in 1887 and third class medal. He was also awarded a third class medal at the Universal Exposition of 1889. The majority of his works were painted of kitchen scenes with fruit, still life and game birds.

He exhibited at the Glasgow Institute of Art in 1886

His works have been in the museums of Alger, Amiens, Calais, Cambrai, Mulhouse, Saintes, Toulouse and Troyes

His works have been auctioned throughout Europe, the UK and the USA
