Charley Garry

Garry was born in 1891 in Paris

He studied with Jules Adler and Gabriel Ferrier. He exhibited regularly as early as 1912 at the Salon des Artistes Francais (Paris); and he also exhibited at the Salons de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts et aux Independants.

He was known for his heart-warming and sometimes light-hearted genre scenes and decorative landscapes.

In recent times his work is attracting a very strong following due in part to the similarity, especially amongst the horse racing scenes, to that of Alfred Munnings.
