Biography of Artist

Exhibited 1822 - 1870
Landscape, hunting, marine and animal painter.
Lived in Barnstable, Devon.
He started initially in the army where he was sent on duty to Holland. After then leaving the army he decided to go into painting full time.
He studied at the Royal Academy where he started exhibiting from in 1824. He became an associate member of the Royal Academy in 1834 and a full member in 1838.
