David Fulton

Biography of Artist


1848 - 1930

Born Parkhead, Glasgow.

He was a painter of landscapes, angling scenes interiors and figure subjects mainly in watercolour. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art and exhibited at the principle London galleries from 1884 and throughout Scotland.

His favourite watercolour subjects were sun-drenched landscapes with figyres, generally children, beneath trees or beside rivers.

Elected RSW 1890 and exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy (72), Royal Society of Watercolours (85), Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts (156) and the Walker Art Gallery , Liverpool (17). He is represented at the Paisley Institute.
