He was born in 1892 in Paris.

Diey was a painter of nudes, figurative studies and genre scenes.

He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais, where he received a special award in 1942.

Diey specialised in scenes showing gallantry and scenes with a Spanish theme. He also devoted his life work to studying and delineating the human, and in particular, the female form.
