William Frank Calderon

Biography of Artist

1865 - 1943
Portrait, landscape, figure and sporting painter.
Son of Philip Hermongenes Calderon. He studied at the Slade School and was Founder and Principal of the School of Animal Painting in 1894 - 1916.
He became a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1891. In 1936 he published ‘Animal Paint and Anatomy’.
